NEW for 2020: Archery
Grab your bow and arrows, it’s time to shoot some gold! Archery is a target sport that is suitable for all ages. Different types of archery exist which are suitable for different ages, adding challenge or keeping the activity simple. We are working hard to add this activity to our line up, stay tuned…
With the Peak District on our doorstep we offer a range of session for Scouts and Explorers. We offer half day rock climbing with half day hillwalking taster days in the peak district for Scouts and Explorers and full day rock climbing sessions are intended for older Scouts and Explorers.
A full weekend, including camping, for Scouts and Explorers. We split the weekend into 4 half day sessions where Scouts and Explorers have a chance to try Kayaking, Canoeing, Sailing and Raft building. For our younger members we run Beaver and Cub days with shorter sessions in a range of paddlesports, rafting and dinghy sailing plus some land activities.
Learn to master paddling canoes or kayaks on our fabulous lake! Our fleet of canoes are perfect for learning to paddle with a single blade as part of a crew of two. Our modern kayak fleet will give you the chance to be captain of your own craft paddling with a double bladed paddle.
We are a RYA Powerboat training centre. We offer courses for Scouts, Explorers and adults. From RYA Level 1, for Scouts and Explorers with no previous experience of helming a powerboat through to RYA Safety Boat courses for experienced individuals to start looking at performing rescues and safety support.
Dinghy sailing is the activity of sailing small boats, powered by the wind. It is a great way to get out on the water and even in a beginner session young people can take control of the boat and experience the thrill of sailing. Sailing is suitable for all sections from Beavers through to Network. Non-swimmers and weak swimmers can still take part too!
